A lovely walk up some very steep hills took us to the twin peaks of Twin Peaks. The view was staggering; the skyscrapers of downtown SF gave way to the bay area beyond - Oakland, Marin County, the Golden Gate bridge... I decided that as we would be visible to the entire city, I better give the Ponty shirt an airing. We could hear the whole city chanting 'Olé, Olé, Olé...' from the summit. Top marks to the boys for a great result against Swansea yesterday, bring on the final! (more…)

A night in Noe Valley with Richard and Lucy last night. We ordered a Chicago style pizza from Patxi's Pizza and it didn't disappoint. Three thousand cubic feet of crust, sauce, sausage and cheese was consumed.

Went for a lovely hike through Muir Woods today with Simon and Lynn. Massive trees, glorious sunshine and all washed down with sandwiches and Hoegaarden in a crazy German beer house plonked right in the middle of the forest. Rosie managed to avoid getting eaten by bears/cougars/sharks and we all came back sun kissed and sleepy. Our mammoth house-hunt came up trumps as we've scored a great apartment in an old cedar-clad house. Rosie is making the most of the new space (we're taking shifts on the recliner chair). (more…)

Well, the Zombies are here, it's official. I just hope they're the slow, meandering kind and not the terrifying quick buggers from 28 Days Later...

Brunch was had at the Bell Tower, after a glowing review from Richard and Lucy. We had a breakfast burrito with home fries and guac (Rosie) and a BBQ Pulled Pork bap with french fries (me). The standard of eating over here is nuts; a fairly inexpensive meal - $25 for both of us inc. two soft drinks - was delicious and the service was all smiley and nice. We padded up and down the hills of SF all afternoon to walk it off, bellies full of awesomeness. Must. Start. Gym. Soon.
