As part of the SF beer week, we headed to the American Grilled Cheese Kitchen in SoMa for an evening of artisanal grilled cheeses and accompanying Firestone beers. We made sure the brewmaster knew all about Otley beers before we left (you can take the boy out of Ponty...). (more…)

It turns out my brother has an unquenchable appetite for smoked turkey bagels. Also, if you make him drink until 3am whilst jet-lagged, he'll fall asleep on a dime. Big love to you brother, it was a blast. (more…)

We picked up four Windsor chairs on Craigslist for $60 and spent an eternity stripping, sanding and painting the buggers 'til they came up good. Kudos to Rosie for her steely determination with the sanding block. (more…)

A day out at the ball game with the folks. Oakland A's got thoroughly trounced by the Yankees 4-0. Dad is not going to give up rugby for baseball any time soon, but good times regardless. (more…)

I submit that there is no finer way to spend your last few days in Wales than building a wooden workshop with the family. Williams & Sons now has walls and a roof, what a beaut.
